The Northern Vintage Recordings Archive
PLEASE NOTE: this site is for the disposal of a private collection. We are not dealers and do not purchase records.
I found an interest in old records in 1970 when I was given two sets of Gilbert & Sullivan operettas from the 1930s. When the collection reached 500 items I set up the Archive and advertised in collector circles to present rare and interesting records being dumped. We moved to the USA in 2008, and from then until returning to the UK in 2023, doubled the collection size. All our 45rpm pop singles (about 3000) were sold in Vermont along with several hundred cylinders.
We brought back 18000 78s, 6000 LPs, and about 300 reel-to-reel tapes (these are still to be sorted and catalogued). Now the collection is too big to house we are starting to thin it out, gradually.
All records offered are cleaned, dirty, torn or unilined inner sleeves replaced. Until we post our bargain section, you can be sure that all items are near mint or excellent, and any marks or defects on the sleeves noted.
Meanwhile we have an ebay outlet, selling a range of pop and classical vinyl, common to ultrarare, well used to mint and unsealed!
