Northern Vintage Recordings Archive

I found an interest in old records in 1970 when I was given two sets of Gilbert & Sullivan operettas  from the 1930s. When the collection reached 500 items I set up the Archive and advertised in collector circles to prevent rare and interesting records being dumped.  We moved to the USA in 2008, and from then until returning to the UK in 2023, doubled the collection size.  All our 45rpm pop singles (about 3000)  were sold in Vermont along with several hundred cylinders.
We brought back 18000 78s, 6000 LPs, and about 300 reel-to-reel tapes (these are still to be sorted and catalogued).   Now the collection is too big to house we are starting to thin it out,  gradually.
